Apparently someone working with the Dartmouth Coop advertising copy is more comfortable on the sports pages than in an atlas ;-)
This advertisement for a $5.99 decal has it absolutely right that, "Dartmouth Big Green Football Coach Teevens and his football players have embraced 'The Woods' as an essential part of the Dartmouth Football experience."
Pretty cool that they have picked up on that, huh?
But it's stretching things to say Dartmouth is, "located in the heart of the White Mountains." To be completely accurate, not only is Dartmouth not in the "heart" of the White Mountains, it's not even in the White Mountains. Exactly where the Whites begin is a matter of opinion (some try to sneak Cardigan Mountain into the Whites) but there's a reason why the state of New Hampshire has Hanover in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region and not the White Mountains Region ;-)
