Game On

For those who have been wondering (present company included) – it's game on at Stetson. Official word came from Dartmouth yesterday.
For what it's worth, and when it comes to first games it doesn't always mean that much, the offshore wise guys have installed Dartmouth as a 26-point favorite over Stetson.

Elsewhere in the Ivy League they have:

Princeton favored by 12.5 over San Diego
Brown favored by 7 over Bryant
Penn favored by 14.5 over Ohio Dominican
Harvard favored by 6 over Rhode Island
Columbia favored by 3 over Wagner
Lehigh by 13 over Yale
Delaware favored by 17.5 over Cornell

And out-of-league it's:

Stony Brook favored by 14 over Sacred Heart
New Hampshire by 14.5 over Holy Cross
Former Dartmouth linebacker Jeff Blackburn is in the 2017 class of inductees to the Concord-Carlisle High School Athletics Hall of Fame. Read about it here.

This is straight from the story ;-)
Blackburn was lured north to Darmouth College by legendary coach Buddy Teevens.
Blackburn is a senior VP at Amazon and has been mentioned as a strong candidate to eventually run the company.
And finally, if you've been following That Certain Dartmouth '14's hike on the Pacific Crest Trail, do check out her heartfelt blog post headlined, Mother Nature Always Wins.

Whether it is flooding in Houston and Texas, Hurricane Irma coming off the Atlantic, or wildfires and smoke in the west, it's true. But I have a sneaking suspicion That Certain Dartmouth '14, like those impacted by the hurricanes, will be back.
