Team Of The Week

STATS, the bible of FCS football, has named Dartmouth its team of the week. Find the story HERE.

Green Alert Take: It would be a huge surprise if that's the only significant award Dartmouth and/or its players receive this week. In fact, count on at least one more significant award ;-)
There are recaps of the win over Yale in The Dartmouth (LINK) and The Yale Daily News (LINK).

The D also has a story about the marriage between Dartmouth Homecoming and football (LINK).
Curiously, this week's Sagarin Ratings (last week's ratings in parentheses) have Dartmouth fourth in the Ivies with newly vanquished Yale still atop the list:

158 - Yale (158)
164 - Harvard (147)
166 - Princeton (170)
171 - Dartmouth (175)
191 - Penn (173)
200 - Columbia (199)
221 - Brown (210)
222 - Cornell (231)

182 - Holy Cross (176)
218 - Sacred Heart (221)
250 - Stetson (253)

(254 DI teams rated.)
There were whispers that Dartmouth received two or even three football  commitments over the weekend and Twitter reveals a couple.

Chris Sykes a 6-foot-3 1/2, 195-pound receiver from Makakilo, Hawaii and St. Louis School in Honolulu. His Tweet confirming his decision is HERE.

Sykes' 247Sports page lists him with offers from Fresno State, Air Force and Army. (LINK) Find his highlight video HERE.

And Landon McDermott, a 5-11, 180 pound defensive back from Lovejoy HS in Lucas, Texas,  Tweeted his intentions HERE. Find his video highlights HERE.

The Dartmouth has a story about the college decision to appeal the decision denying the OK for an indoor practice facility. (LINK)
And finally . . .

As the 2017 season approaches the halfway point, it's time for the first Questions For Coach of the year. If enough interesting questions are sent here to the BGA world headquarters, I'll put a representative sampling of them to Buddy Teevens and include them in Thursday's BGA Premium post. And as has been the case in the past, I'll open that page up to non-subscribers a few days later, so do send your questions along. As always, be civil.

To send along a question for Coach Teevens, email BGA by CLICKING HERE. That will address an email with the subject line, QuestionsForCoach.
