Another Honor For The 'Jacks'

Dartmouth's Jack Heneghan and Jack Traynor are among the 49 members of the Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Academic All-Star Team named this week.

From the Dartmouth release:
A 6-4, 230-pound senior from Atherton, California, Heneghan made the team for the second straight year as an economics major with a 3.79 GPA. He led Dartmouth to an 8-2 record and a second-place finish in the Ivy League standings completing 185-of-293 passes (63.1 percent, 18th among FCS quarterbacks) for 2,136 yards and 17 touchdowns with just six interceptions, plus ran for 162 yards and a score to earn all-conference honorable mention.
And . . .
Traynor, a 6-0, 230-pound junior from Lake Forest, Illinois, is an engineering major with a 3.73 GPA. A unanimous pick for the All-Ivy League First Team and a Division I All-New England selection, Traynor started every contest and ranked second in the league with 98 tackles while averaging exactly 10 per game in conference action.
And . . .
In the 20 years the Academic All-Star Team has been named, Dartmouth has had 15 players selected a total of 20 times. Heneghan joins a select group of Big Green players to earn the honor twice: Josh Dooley ’06, Andrew Dete ’09, Tanner Scott ’11 and Michael Runger ’14.
