Big Green Adds A Quarterback Recruit

Several emailers found this one, so thanks!

Add 6-foot-3, 180-pound pro style quarterback Jack Alexander of Redondo Beach, Calif., to a Dartmouth recruiting class that had been without a quarterback since another commit changed his mind in favor of Air Force. The new addition to the class tweeted his intentions HERE, writing:
Beyond blessed and thankful for the opportunity Dartmouth has given me! They took a chance on me when a lot of schools wouldn't and that goes along way. I appreciate the entire staff's hospitality on my official visit with my family.
Alexander is a two-star player offered by Idaho according to 247Sports. He also recently received a preferred walk-on offer from UNLV. Find his highlight video HERE.

According to MaxPreps Alexander threw for 2,158 yards and 19 touchdowns last fall with six interceptions. He completed 158 of 261 passes (60.5 percent).

Find a story about Alexander from the fall HERE. Late last month he passed for four touchdowns in the West Torrance Lions Senior All-Star game. From a story about that game:
“I wanted to go out making a statement,” Alexander said. “I feel like I’ve been underrated in recruiting. I wanted to show my worth as a quarterback and go out with a bang.”
Didn't want the reference to a "Zero Day" on BGA Daily to be a big mystery but we've been pretty busy here on Moose Mountain and will continue to be busy. After 20 or so years here we are putting the house up for sale as we do that word I always disliked: "Downsize."

Truth be told, the kids are out of college, the house is too big and too expensive to heat and Hanover property taxes are such that moving elsewhere in the Upper Valley just makes too much sense not to do it. We've absolutely loved being here on the mountain with views in front of us like the one I took a picture of today (below) and with the Appalachian Trail behind us. But the time has come. Yesterday the real estate people came to shoot pictures and take measurements and the house will be listed later this week.

Where will we go? Not far, hopefully on a lake or pond or river. If not, then somewhere again with the views we love.

With house showings expected in the next days-weeks-months (hopefully not the latter) BGA Daily could be a little less regular than usual, but now you understand why. Fingers crossed it's not for too long.

The view across the road this morning. Killington and Pico ski areas are on the horizon. (Click pictures to supersize.)

This was most definitely not yesterday!

And this is the kitchen in case you are interested ;-)
