Looking Ahead

With spring practice in the books, Dartmouth's assistant coaches have hit the road visiting high schools and talking with coaches, guidance counselors and other school personnel as they continue the never-ending process of bringing talented players to Hanover.

Who are they inquiring about and who is considering "offers?"

Two recruiting sites offer a hint, although before you click through to look them over be aware their track record when it comes to identifying even current Dartmouth recruiting classes leaves something to be desired.

Consider that 247Sports is listing just six names in a Dartmouth 2018 class that features 28 recruits (LINK) And even that list has a mistake because the last one did an about face months ago.

The ESPN recruiting site (LINK), meanwhile, is even more sparse with just three "commits" in the incoming class.

Keeping all of that in mind, 247Sports lists more than 100 players in the high school class of 2019 as receiving Dartmouth "offers."

ESPN lists 27 rising high school seniors it says have received Dartmouth "offers."
BGA Premium will have a look at the confirmed incoming class next week.

In the meantime, Buddy Teevens generously took time out of his day Monday to offer a thorough look at the just-completed spring practice. The Big Green coach offered brief observations on virtually all of the roughly 90 players who went through the spring sessions.

A gently edited and slightly reorganized transcript of Teevens’ evaluation of his roster coming out of the spring has been posted on the May 8 BGA Premium. If you are curious about the Big Green returning next fall, CLICK HERE.
