It was a long night for Ryder Stone's Montreal Alouettes, who were pummeled by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in their home opener Friday, 56-10.Stone, the former Dartmouth tailback, had one carry for one yard. Interestingly, the carry came one play after backup Montreal quarterback Jeff Mathews, the former Cornell standout, was intercepted. The Blue Bomber who picked off Mathews fumbled and Stone recovered to hand the ball back to his fellow Ivy League grad.
