And then there were two . . . undefeated teams left in the Ivy League. With Harvard and Columbia losing, Princeton and Dartmouth are alone at 3-0.
Brown 35, Georgetown 7
The Bears got in the win column by building a 21-0 halftime lead thanks to two Jakob Prall running touchdowns and a Prall TD run. Brown had touchdown drives of 71, 75, 76 and 77 yards. Georgetown did pierce Brown for 248 rushing yards but quarterback Gunther Johnson was just 11-of-29 for 73 yards with an interception. Michael McGovern threw for 269 yards for the Bears. Brown is now 1-2 while Georgetown is 1-4. Attendance was 3,926.
Cornell 43, Sacred Heart 24
The Big Red jumped out to a 29-3 by early in the second quarter to knock the Pioneers from the ranks of the undefeated. Sacred Heart actually outgained Cornell, 444 yards to 424, but suffered two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and a lost fumble. Harold Coles ran eight times for 121 yards with an 85-yard touchdown run for Cornell, which got 13-of-17 passes with two touchdowns from three quarterbacks. Cornell is now 1-2 while Sacred Heart is 3-1. Attendance was 3,620.
Yale 35, Maine 14
With standout runners Zane Dudek and Alan Lamar sidelined Yale rushed for just 90 yards but quarterback Kurt Rawlings picked up the slack by completing 22-of-34 passes for 306 yards and three touchdowns in a win over the nation’s 16th-ranked team. JP Shohfi caught 10 passes for 124 yards for Yale and Reed Klubnik collected three TDs among his six catches for 85 yards. The Bulldogs held the Black Bears to 13 first downs and 85 yards on the ground and limited redshirt freshman quarterback Isaiah Robinson to 10-of-27 passing for 179 yards. Maine’s starting quarterback was out with injury and the Black Bears lost their tailback, a starting offensive lineman and both starting corners to injury. Yale is now 2-1 while Maine is 2-2. Attendance was 7,889.
Bucknell 19, Holy Cross 16
The Crusaders opened and closed the scoring on their Homecoming in Worcester but the Bison scored the middle 19 points to register their first win of the season. Holy Cross had the edge in first downs, 21-19 and total yards, 385-328, but let Jared Cooper run for 123 yards and Bucknell quarterback Logan Bitikofer complete 19-of-29 passes for 193 yards. Holy Cross is now 1-4 and Bucknell also is 1-4. Attendance was 8,275.

Princeton 45, Columbia 10
This might have been more of a referendum on the Tigers than on the Lions, and the high-octane Princeton offense passed the test with flying colors. Against a Columbia defense ranked second in the nation against the run (behind only Dartmouth) the Tigers piled up 360 rushing yards with quarterback John Lovett carrying 15 times for 176 yards in the first half. Speedster Colin Eaddy added 102 yards on just six carries. Princeton scored on eight of its first nine possessions. Lovett ran for two scores and passed for two more while hitting 12-of-22 passes for 135 yards. Columbia managed just 80 yards on the ground and 133 passing without its starting quarterback, out with a concussion. Princeton is 3-0 and Columbia is 2-1. Attendance was 5,327.
Rhode Island 23, Harvard 16
Long a CAA doormat, a resurgent Rhode Island, ranked in the top-25, jumped out to a 23-6 lead with help from a 97-yard kickoff return. Harvard pulled within a touchdown early in the fourth quarter but couldn’t threaten the rest of the way with quarterback Jake Smith intercepted on back-to-back possessions down the stretch. Harvard had the advantage in first downs (16-11) and total offense (285-216) and both teams were intercepted twice. Justice Shelton-Mosley caught 10 passes for 80 yards for the Crimson. URI is now 3-1 and Harvard 2-1. Attendance was 9,123.
