Take A Look

Just stumbled across this well-done, year-old video of defensive back Micah Croom:

Athlon has a story written by Craig Haley, the FCS guru for STATs, under the headline, FCS College Football: 5 Favorites for the 2019 Eddie Robinson Award. Here are the five coaches he lists along with the capsule he included about the last of the five:
1. Aaron Best, Eastern Washington
2. Jay Hill, Weber State
3. Dale Lindsey, San Diego
4. John Stiegelmeier, South Dakota State
5. Bob Surace, PrincetonCareer Record: 48-42, nine seasons; 66-45 overall
Surace celebrates his 10th season coaching his alma mater, where despite key graduation losses the Tigers should get off to another big start considering their manageable schedule. They face a difficult run in November, but if Surace can lead another perfect season, Robinson voters will take notice.
And here are the four coaches he included among "Other Leading Candidates:"
Brian Bohannon, Kennesaw State
Mark Elder, Eastern Kentucky
John Grass, Jacksonville State
Buddy Teevens, Dartmouth
Green Alert Take: Predicting a coach of the year award is nigh on impossible unless you happen to choose the head coach from one of the "directional" schools. Being mentioned in the preseason is a sign of respect.
