Quick Ivy League Preview

Here's  Football Gameplan's four-minute “whiparound - Ivy League 2019 Preview:”

The thought here is that the Football Gameplan previews are offered in the order of predicted finish:

1. Yale
2. Dartmouth
3. Princeton
4. Harvard
5. Columbia
6. Penn
7. Cornell
8. Brown
The lede to a Florida Times-Union notes story:
How often does a quarterback prospect with ESPN 300 credentials choose an Ivy League school? Not often, but add Devon Lingle to the list.
The Fletcher senior announced Friday his commitment to Dartmouth.
Lingle spent most of the past year in the ESPN 300, where he’s still ranked as a four-star prospect — hardly a typical resume for an Ivy League quarterback.
247Sports has Lingle a three-star recruit with offers from 24 schools including Brown, Columbia, Cornell and Harvard along with FBS schools like Cincinnati, App State, Bowling Green and Southern Mississippi. ESPN has him as a four-star with 20 offers. (LINK) Rivals lists him with 21 offers but curiously with no stars. (LINK)
Born in Texas, moved to Canada, played high school football as a running back north of the border and then came back to the U.S. to improve his chances of playing college football and gets noticed by Dartmouth.

The Ryder Stone '18 story? Yes, but not in this case.

Brendon Barrow is a running back who left Caledon, Ont., for Clearwater Academy International in Florida. He now has five "offers" including one from Dartmouth.

Find the story HERE.

Stone, of course, played high school football in Alberta, prepped at Phillips Andover and after Dartmouth joined the Montreal Alouettes.
Dartmouth will near the midpoint of preseason camp this afternoon. With rain expected to fall most of the day the session will likely be held on Memorial Field's artificial surface rather than the grass Blackman practice fields. Check BGA Premium tonight for a practice report.
