Happy Monday

Last week I explained in this space that I was trained when compiling standings to order teams by conference record, then overall record and then current streak and yes, I was adamant about it.

Today I'm going to break that rule because, well, because I can ;-)

There are a lot of stories out of Saturday's game. Find the Valley News story HERE, The Dartmouth story HERE, and the Brown Daily Herald story HERE.
Highlights from the final Ivy League statistics include:
• Derek Kyler and Jared Gerbino finishing 1-2 in passing efficiency,
• Drew Estrada first in all-purpose yardage.
• Connor Davis first for PATs made and PAT percentage.
• Isiah Swann first in interceptions for the second year in a row.
• Swann and Darren Stanley tied for first in passes defended.
• Swann first in pick sixes.
• Jack Traynor tied for first in fumble recoveries.

OTHERS: Southeastern Louisiana (346) , Towson (266) , Southern Illinois (179) , San Diego (151) , Alcorn State (61) , PRINCETON (60) , Eastern Washington (50) , South Carolina State (32) , Sam Houston State (28) , UT Martin (24) , New Hampshire (15) , Holy Cross (3) , UC Davis (2)
How ironic. The NCAA Playoffs bracket was released on the day that the Princeton field hockey team played for the national championship.

Games of some interest for Ivy League fans include: Holy Cross (7-5) will host Monmouth (10-2), Central Connecticut (11-1) will visit Albany (8-4), Villanova (9-3) will be at Southeastern Louisiana (7-4) and San Diego of the Pioneer Football League (9-2) will be at Northern Iowa (8-4).

Ivy League champions Dartmouth and Yale? They are idle.
