Well Said

The Dartmouth writes about the Big Green's haul in awards season. Included is a Zach Sammartino quote on Buddy Teevens, the Ivy League, New England Football Writers and AFCA Region I coach of the year (LINK):
“During recruiting, he sat down with me at my school and we talked for an hour. We didn’t actually talk about football at all. He genuinely cares about your life after football and your family. I think that playing under him inspired us to bring the whole team together to know that there’s more after football, but we’re going to get the job done under him for him.”
Speaking of Sammartino, he has signed with National Sports Agency. The St. Louis-based firm generally has between 30 and 40 NFL clients. (LINK)
The Manchester Union Leader has pulled one of its quotes of the year out of remarks made by linebacker Jack Traynor after he won the Bushnell Cup as the Ivy League's defensive player of the year. Traynor said (LINK):
“While I’m really thankful and it’s awesome to be considered for this award, it’s just kind of a comment on how we did defensively as a whole this year. We had so many guys who were really excelling in their roles and I feel fortunate to represent those guys in New York. This truly represents what we did this year as a defense.”
