Making His Case

Here are clips from Jared Gerbino's Pro Day:

Green Alert Take: No wonder Ivy League defensive backs got that deer in the headlights look when Gerbino came toward them.

Green Alert Take II: For those of us of a certain age (and many NFL front office types are) it is refreshing to watch one of these and not have to mute the sound ;-)
A story under the headline Rutgers football: A breakdown of the coaching staff now in charge of the Scarlet Knights, includes a capsule on Adam Scheier '95, the onetime Dartmouth special teams standout who will serve as the Scarlet Knights' special teams coordinator. Find his Rutgers bio HERE.

From the story (LINK):
Scheier and (Rutgers head coach Greg) Schiano worked together at Ohio State in 2017. Scheier was a quality control and kicking coach.
He spent the 2019 season as the special teams consultant at Mississippi State, and was at Texas Tech in 2018 as the special teams coordinator.
Scheier, a Bronx native who played college football at Dartmouth, previously ran special teams units at Bowling Green and Wake Forest, helping to turn each of those units into some of the most productive in the country.
The piece also includes capsules on Sean Gleeson, the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach who was OC at Princeton in 2017 before moving on to Oklahoma State, and offensive line coach Andrew Aurich, a Princeton alum who spent six years on staff with the Tigers.

Not included in this story is the big bopper, Jay Butler, the Dartmouth strength and conditioning coach from 1996-2000, who will reprise the role he had at Rutgers in Schiano's first go-around. Find his bio HERE.
And so it begins, perhaps.

Thanks to a loyal reader and close follower of the Big Green sports scene for sharing a link to a Tweet by Dartmouth senior Juliana Thomson, a onetime women's basketball recruit (LINK), who switched to track (BIO) and instead of taking her lost spring season in Hanover will be heading to Philadelphia. She Tweeted:
Excited to announce that after graduation from Dartmouth I’ll be using my last year of eligibility to throw and pursue my MBA at Villanova! Pumped to compete in the Big East and call the Philly area home \\//
I take no credit for this but looking at Thomson's Twitter, she retweeted this from former NBA player Rex Chapman. It is simply too sweet not to post here. Do stick around until at least the second verse. You'll be glad you did.

EXTRA POINT
"Go get your camera," Mrs. BGA said last night after she came in from the deck where she had some "shrimp on the barbie."

One peek out the window and I did indeed run for my camera. Again, I'm mostly just a point-and-shoot guy but I'm still happy with this pic of the pink super moon over Mount Moosilauke:
