Who is the best player to wear #94? pic.twitter.com/Q3XvmPXIL5
That's 6-foot-3, 270-pound Charles Looes, who will be a fifth-year senior in the fall. Find his Dartmouth bio HERE. Unlike the other countdowns, this one has players from all different levels.
Looes returns for his COVID bonus year after posting 42 tackles last fall, with two sacks, five stops for a loss and a fumble recovery.

The Colorado Buffaloes Wire on the USA Today network has a piece headlined, Ranking Colorado's 22 best players ahead of 2023 that has Dartmouth grad transfer Shane Cokes third, behind only quarterback Shedeur Sanders (Deion's son) and defensive back/wide receiver Travis Hunter, who could play both ways this fall. From the story, which pitches Cokes as one of the two favorites to be a defensive captain in 2023 (LINK):
My other favorite to wear the “C” for the defense next season, Shane Cokes has exploded onto the scene since he transferred from Dartmouth. Cokes has size (6-foot-3, 275 pounds), smarts (Ivy League background) and a motor that doesn’t stop. He was also the first defensive player to earn a jersey number this spring.

Say this for Dartmouth, it's not afraid to throw its hat in the ring with the big boys when it comes to recruiting.
Not one, but two of the quarterbacks at the Elite 11 Regional event held at State College Area High in Happy Valley had Dartmouth offers. One has committed to Penn State while the other is committed to Maryland for lacrosse, but would switch to football if the right situation arises.
The future Nittany Lion is Ethan Grunkemeyer of Ohio's Olentangy High School. In addition to Dartmouth, his offer sheet included Columbia, Princeton and Yale. (LINK) After a strong showing at the regional event he's headed to the 2023 Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles. (Also making the finals was Julian Sayin, an Alabama commit and brother of the Penn Quakers starter, Aidan Sayin.)
Still up in the air regarding his football future is Henry Hasselbeck, son of former NFL QB Matt Hasselbeck. Henry is a rising senior at Xaverian High School, the Massachusetts powerhouse that among others over the years sent quarterback Brian Mann '02 and offensive lineman Jake Guidone '22 to Dartmouth. From the story (LINK):
Hasselbeck is working to finalize his visits this summer but plans to take officials to Pitt, Boston College and UAB. ... He’d like to visit an Ivy League school or two as well. He has offers from Dartmouth and Harvard.

Should have posted this yesterday and you've probably already seen it but just in case . . .
Dartmouth has returned precious few kickoffs since the NCAA approved fair catches on the play and the NFL is headed in the same direction thanks to a rules change. Find the story HERE.

Dartmouth has hired its new women's basketball coach, tapping veteran Linda Cimino, last at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, which is cutting its entire athletic program.
Find the Dartmouth release about Cimino HERE, and a Wikipedia page detailing her seasons at Division II Caldwell and Binghamton before she arrived at St. Francis in 2018 HERE.
