Tuesday (No) News Day

The Bluebloods site is back at it, using "the Pro Football Focus (PFF) database and grading system to take a look at the highest-graded returning defensive linemen across FCS football entering the 2023 season." Once again, Dartmouth will face players who make the top-15 cut. From the site (LINK):

3. Thor Griffith (Harvard)
PFF Offensive Grade: 90.5
2022 Statistics: 46 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 5 sacks

And . . .

9. Joey Slackman (Penn)
PFF Offensive Grade: 85.2
2022 Statistics: 49 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, 2 pass breakups

According to a list posted HERE with capsules on each, former Dartmouth and Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Reggie Williams '76 is ranked as the 23rd best football player born in Michigan.

#

This is kind of fun. The Baltimore Ravens store has Jake Guidone '21 jerseys for sale HERE. And yup, the former Dartmouth standout who did a grad transfer to UConn last season, is wearing No. 67 as an unsigned free agent with the NFL team.

You may want to buy a purple Guidone jersey, but a purple College of Dartmouth sweatshirt?

The strange thing is available HERE.

Green Alert Take: On the plus side, it's only $15. Perhaps the fellow who recently Tweeted about the University of Dartmouth might be tempted.

There as more than a few canned shot in this video that are most definitely not from these parts but if you want to get at least a sense of what life is like in Hanover it's worth a watch:

EXTRA POINT
Remember the earlier PAT about slapping a couple of wiggly eyes on the outgrowth of a tree?

Mrs. BGA and I brought Griff the Wonder Dog on our hike yesterday and the big fella absolutely was intrigued by the wiggly-eyed thing growing on the trunk of the tree, about four feet off the ground. A very curious Griff actually got part of it in his mouth, although I suspect he was more interested in it as a stick to carry around than as a little critter friend.
