Tune In

Dartmouth Athletic Director Mike Harrity is scheduled for a live interview tonight around 6:15 p.m. on local radio station 94 WEEI Upper Valley. It should be a very interesting appearance coming just a few days after the local Valley News published a scorched-earth review of the Big Green athletic program he inherited a year ago.

If you haven't already, you may want to read that story HERE before tuning into the radio broadcast HERE.

Former Dartmouth/Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Matt Kaskey ’19 (No. 63 above) helped pave the way for the Birmingham Stallions to win their final five regular season games and finish with the best record in the USFL at  8-2.

Kaskey and the Stallions play host to the 7-3 New Orleans Breakers in the league’s South Division Championship on Sunday night. The winner of that game will face the winner of the North Division matchup between the Pittsburgh Maulers (4-6) and the Michigan Panthers (4-6) in the USFL championship game will on July 1. (LINK)

From a story on USA Today's New Orleans SaintsWire making a too-early roster prediction for the 2023 NFL seasons (LINK):

The biggest realistic change might be Niko Lalos displacing (Jabari) Zuniga on the practice squad, which isn’t that meaningful in the grand scheme of things.

Lalos, of couse, is the 2020 Dartmouth grad who made a splash in a short stint as a defensive end with the New York Giants in his first fall after graduation, then spent time on the Giants and Saints' practice squads before enjoying a successful season this winter with the XFL's Seattle Sea Dragons.

The Valley News looks at the hiring of Linda Cimino to take over the moribund Dartmouth women's basketball program HERE. The story does not shy away from the state of the program or the recruiting violations on Cimino's watch. It includes comments both from the new coach and Dartmouth AD Harrity regarding those violations.

EXTRA POINT
We're in our final day in "Colorful Colorado" and are trying to plot our return to New England. Do you know how difficult it is to drive ± 2,000 miles while avoiding interstate highways as much as possible? I'll answer that question – it's pretty close to impossible.

We will meander as much as we can, but large swaths of our drive will unfortunately be on those ribbons of highway that hide so much at 65 miles per hour. (Or 75 mph in Kansas ;-)
