Positionally Speaking

Today, a look at the recruiting class by position. Some of the positions listed are from graphics posted by the players, while some are best guesses based on the player Xweets.

With four tight ends and just three offensive linemen listed, it wouldn't be a surprise if at least one of those TE's is actually slated to play offensive tackle. Likewise, with just one linebacker listed, don't be surprised if one of the defensive end-types is going to play linebacker, or perhaps one of the bigger DBs. There are players listed at wide receiver who might end up on the defensive side, and don't get me started trying to figure out who is a safety, who is a corner and who is a nickel.

All of that is by way of reminding you this is only a guess, intended to paint a general picture of the class.

An email showed up in my box this morning noting that Dartmouth has 39 members of the athletic department with the word "director" in their title.

Green Alert Take: You know how when you repeat just about any word over and over and over it starts to sound like gobbledygook and loses any real meaning?

Saw that William & Mary football had their first "spring" practice yesterday. That sent me scurrying to find the earliest spring game. I found that Liberty will hold its game on March 1. That's in 18 days!

All of which reminds me that I should track down the start of Dartmouth spring ball and the date of the Green-White.

EXTRA POINT

With snow starting to build up, we had visitors bed down in our "back 40" last night. All of the prints and the deer beds were made last night.
