The List

It's always possible there could be changes, but with the names of a couple of players who are now headed elsewhere removed, and several new names added, this is how the Dartmouth football recruiting class looks right now. At least it's how we think it looks.

As always, heights and weights won't be official until the incoming players are on campus. Positions for most – but not all – of the players are from their commitment graphics, so they should be relatively accurate. High schools are correct, but the town or city afterward may be for their school or their hometown, and I'm not sure in a lot of cases which is which.

Corrections aren't just welcomed but ncouraged. If you have updated information, feel free to pass it along via email HERE.

Because there was no graphic for him, I included a caveat when I first mentioned tight end Jason Bish last week HERE. That's no longer the case:

It wasn't a great Super Bowl Sunday for Matt Smiley, a member of Buddy Teevens' first staff after he returned to Dartmouth. On staff with the Buffalo Bills since 2017, and the team's special teams coordinator since 2022, he was fired yesterday, a week after head coach Sean McDermott said his job was safe.

#

Fox Sports essaysist Tom Rinaldi had a touching piece about Tiger Bech as part of the network's Super Bowl coverage. Tiger's brother Jack was on field for the coin toss.

#

Ah, the Super Bowl. Or maybe the Stupor Bowl?

Honestly, by midway through the third quarter I might have turned it off but there was always a chance for a new commercial. Were there any during the halftime show? I wouldn't know.

EXTRA POINT

Have you ever seen a Google Street View car go and wondered if they caught an image of you? That Certain Nittany Lion '16 spends almost as much time walking as he does working out, and he had one of those cars pass him back before the weather turned cold:

If you indeed have had one of those cars come by and can't figure out how to see yourself it helps if you are a geographic data analyst who is familiar with how Google pulls that stuff together. TCNL '16 shared this screenshot with an explanation: "I had seen the Google Street View car go by, and when they finally refreshed the imagery I didn't see myself, but I went back and realized they stitched together multiple trips, so some frames I am edited out or not there."

And in this one, he was. ;-)
