Former Dartmouth defensive lineman Brennan Cascarano might have slightly mixed feelings next year when the Big Green takes on Cornell. That's because his brother Sean, who played at Virginia, has been named offensive line coach for the Big Red. It probably didn't hurt that Sean Cascarano, an offensive lineman with the Cavaliers, spent the past two seasons as a grad assistant at Penn State, where former Cornell quarterback Ricky Rahne is the offensive coordinator.
A blurb about Sacramento State quarterback called to mind Bluto Blutarsky's quote in Animal House: "Seven years of college down the drain!" Kevin Thompson, who began his college career at UNLV in 2014 as a redshirt freshman and served as a backup in 2015 played the '17 and '18 seasons at Sacramento State. (LINK) Given that he endured elbow injuries that cost him one year and shortened parts of two others the NCAA has awarded him "a rare two-year clock extension," meaning he'll have junior status this fall and senior status in 2020.
