Several weeks ago a loyal reader shared the Street & Smith's magazine Ivy League picks and now he's come through with a look at how Lindy's sees the season shaking out:
2. Princeton
3. Dartmouth
4. Harvard
5. Penn
6. Cornell
7. Brown
8. Columbia
Green Alert Take: Wow, if Lindy's has it right Columbia's ascension under Al Bagnoli certainly was short-lived.
A reminder that Street & Smith's had the top three this fall as Dartmouth, Yale and Princeton. (CLICK HERE)
Back to Lindy's. The magazine has Big Green opponent Towson seventh in the powerhouse CAA and fellow Dartmouth opponent Marist sixth in the Pioneer Football League, which won't be confused with the CAA any time soon.
Lindy's does not break down Division II conference races but instead projects a Top-25 in the division below the FCS. Week One Dartmouth opponent New Haven does not make that cut.
Here's how Lindy's sees the Patriot League, the Ivy League's sister (brother?) conference:
1. Holy Cross
2. Lafayette
3. Colgate
4. Fordham
5. Lehigh
6. Bucknell
7. Georgetown

Missed this earlier but Dartmouth alum Jay Fiedler, who succeeded Dan Marino as the Miami Dolphins quarterback, was asked about the challenge faced by Jarrett Stidham, who is expected to step in for Tom Brady as quarterback of the New England Patriots. Check the story out HERE.

From Hero Sports:Throughout the May-August months, HERO Sports is going to name the best returning FCS player by jersey number, 99-1. Due to rosters being updated at different times for teams across the country and to keep things consistent, jersey numbers are based on the 2019 season.Today is No. 61 and the player honored is Dartmouth center Evan Hecimovich. Find a picture and short blurb about him HERE.

EXTRA POINTFrom the Did you Know Department.
Ask anyone with a grasp of New England geography and they will tell you Vermont is west of New Hampshire, right? Of course.
Except . . .
At our house here in West Newbury, Vt., we are actually more to the east than Hanover. As Yogi said, you could look it up.
Hanover is at longitude 72.806 west. We are at 72.1290.
