Matt Kaskey will likely be (Taylor) Moton's backup this season. Kaskey signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and was picked up by the Panthers after the 2019 season.
While the Rams part is accurate, the rest isn't quite right. From his bio page on the Carolina site (LINK):
Signed as an undrafted free agent with Los Angeles Rams (5/14/19)...Waived by Los Angeles (8/30/19)...Signed to Carolina practice squad (9/24/19)...Cut from Carolina practice squad (11/12/19)...Signed to Carolina practice squad (12/4/19)...Signed to active roster for Carolina (12/21/19).

While Kaskey would seem to be in good shape with Carolina, former Dartmouth defensive lineman Niko Lalos faces an uphill battle with the New York Giants. While it's hard to put much stock in the opinions of bloggers who couldn't find the team's preseason camp with GPS, it's more notable when something like NJ.com, which actually covers the team in person and has sources, speculates about the fall roster.
The NJ.com website has a story HERE that lists 40 players as "locks," 20 as being "On the Bubble," and 19 as "Longshots."
Lalos, as you might expect of an undrafted free agent, is one of the 19 longshots.

While we wait to see if the Big Ten presidents, who voted 12-2 to cancel the season, cave in the face of public statements by their coaches and players about why the season should go on, the Mountain West Conference has called off football this fall. Air Force is making noise about still playing Army and Navy, however.
Old Dominion University, which is in Conference USA, has decided it will not be on the field this fall.
At the FCS level only four of 13 FCS conferences are still standing. The Big South, Ohio Valley, Southern and Southland conferences are said to be mulling decisions.

It was four years ago this month that Abbey D’Agostino, Dartmouth's seven-time national champion distance runner, tried to help New Zealand's Nikki Hamblin to her feet after the pair tumbled to the track during their Olympic 5000-meter preliminary heat in Rio. The widely viewed moment was billed as "a showcase of the Olympic spirit." NBCSports interviewed the two HERE:
