While the addition of the December signing period has diminished today's importance and the pandemic may have an impact, some (many?) high school seniors will be celebrating their college decision today. As has been the case each year, throughout the day BGA Daily will post photos found on Twitter as well as those kindly forwarded here. And if the celebration was in December? The College plans to hold an in-person Commencement for the Class of 2021 in early June, although only graduates will be invited to attend. An in-person commencement ceremony for the Class of 2020, previously rescheduled for this June, has been postponed indefinitely.
And . . .
(The) College has encouraged guests of graduating students to cancel any existing travel arrangements to the Upper Valley.
And finally . . .
In addition to the cancellation of this year’s ceremony for the Class of 2020, all 2021 alumni reunion events will be held virtually. Hanlon wrote that the College will seek “creative ways” to “maintain the special connection” between the 50th reunion class and the Class of 2021 as part of this year’s ceremony.
I was about a mile from the end of my snow-filled hike on the mountain yesterday when I paused the Fresh Air podcast after I thought I heard a snowmobile coming up the trail toward me. With the earphones out, though, I realized it wasn't a snowmobile but rather a chainsaw.
