A Hanover Summer At Last

The Dartmouth College Fund has produced a short video titled Back for the Summer! with offensive lineman John Paul Flores '22 one of the two students featured. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound religion major notes that he's taking two courses, one in the religion department and one on Lewis & Clark, and is enjoying spikeball, poker, board games and golf in addition to his studies this summer.

For the newbies out there: Don't worry about having to pay a premium to resellers and brokers for tickets to Dartmouth football games. Barring Notre Dame suddenly showing up at Memorial Field you will have no problem getting your tickets . . . and at face value.

That isn't about to stop the resellers, though. Once again, you almost have to laugh at their gall. Here are several screen grabs from one broker's pitch to sell you tickets to the Dartmouth-Yale game, which is pitched as a "Hot Event." (Highlighting is mine.)

Got your ticket license for one of those suites or premium club areas at Memorial Field yet?

Breaking news. Seats near the 50 are preferable, but certainly not way up in the Memorial Field nosebleed section.

Skyrocketing gas prices won't be a problem for Dartmouth fans this fall with six games in just two cities.

And you can save even more money by buying some of those "cheap Upper-Level Endzone tickets" rather than splurging on those costly "Lower-Level tickets near Midfield."

EXTRA POINT
It feels as if the sky has been battleship gray with rain in the forecast every day for the past week or more. The view from the peak during my hike on Wright's Mountain early this morning offered at least a hint of blue to come when the valley fog burned off:
