A question on (Ed) Bouchette’s Mailbag in The Athletic: Who is the next Rooney to step up in the Steelers organization?
The response (LINK):
It has always been assumed that it will be Art’s eldest, Dan, who has worked in the NFL office, the Steelers front office, as a scout and coach for them. He has learned the game inside and out — he was a quarterback in high school and at Dartmouth — and has a master’s degree from the Wharton School at Penn. He is involved in creating a small business in Pittsburgh at the moment but would seem ready to assume the duties of running the organization when that time comes.

Bulldawg Illustrated has a quick bio and slide show about wide receiver coach Cortez Hankton, who started his college coaching career at Dartmouth in 2012. (LINK)
Green Alert Take: For a couple of years I did BGA Premium stories about coaches and people around the Dartmouth football program in which I asked them sometimes silly questions to help get to know them better. One of the questions was about their dream car. Hankton was the only one to follow up his answer about a dream car with this: “And I own it.” It didn't hurt that he spent five years as a receiver in the NFL.

EXTRA POINT
I've been eagerly counting off the days until Ivy League football returns to the field for the first time since, well, since the last time the Ivies were on the field, which would be November of 2019. Make no mistake about it – I'm excited for it all to get going again.
That said, a cold, hard reality hit me a few days ago and it is this: With opponent previews starting tomorrow I've had my last free weekend until after Thanksgiving.
For a little perspective, it could reach 93 degrees here today and there might well be snow on the ground on my next day off. But I'm not complaining, just explaining. After the last 18 months or so, I wouldn't have it any other way.
