Craig Haley of STATS has revealed his FCS Preseason All-America team featuring players from 15 conferences and 60 schools. Here are Ivy League players mentioned as well as players Dartmouth will face this fall (LINK):
First Team
RB – Julius Chestnut, senior, 6-1, 215, Sacred Heart
Second Team
None
Third Team
QB – E.J. Perry, senior, 6-2, 210, Brown
OL – J.D. DiRenzo, senior, 6-6, 315, Sacred Heart
LB – Jeremiah Tyler, senior, 6-2, 225, Princeton
DB – Evan Horn, senior, 6-0, 220, New Hampshire
PR – Mike Roussos, senior, 6-0, 195, Columbia
Green Alert Take: There are a lot of sites that name all-something teams at the FCS level without having a clue. Haley used to be a Princeton beat writer and in his years at The Sports Network (now STATS/Analyst) he's been rightfully recognized as perhaps the leading expert on football at this level.
Perhaps also of interest to Dartmouth fans on the team chosen by Haley is Karl Mofor, a 5-9, 229-pound senior running back from Albany chosen to the second team. Former Dartmouth running back Caylin Parker, who took a grad transfer to Albany, has had to battle with Mofor to get on the field for the Great Danes.

EXTRA POINT
We dropped That Certain Dartmouth '14 off at the Appalachia Trailhead this morning and she set off at 7:55. We've packed my laptop (with an external battery) so I can get some work done, along with a couple of books, a Scrabble game, two bag chairs and a cooler to help us pass a long day before we pick her up at the Appalachian Mountain Club's Highland Center sometime this afternoon. We hope to be back in time for the regular weekly 6:30 p.m. concert on the common in the little town south of ours. (I'll let you know how it turns out on that score out. ;-)
If you are curious about how it is that TCD'14 can feel confident on this kind of trail, take a look at an entry from the journal of her 2017 hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, a hike that sadly was ended by the kind of wildfires impacting the west this summer.
Oh, and on her Dartmouth Freshman Trip she did what they unofficially call "psycho hiking," later leading the same trip.
