The Ivy League website's latest football posting is headlined Ivies Look To Carry Success into Week 2. From the short entry (LINK):
The Ivy League posted a 5-3 record on its opening weekend of play. This marks the 13th time in the last 16 seasons that the Ancient Eight has collectively earned a .500-or-better opening weekend winning percentage. Since 2005, Ivies are 76-52 (.594) on opening weekend.

Former Dartmouth defensive lineman Seth Simmer has 12 tackles in three games on the defensive line at Samford. He also has a forced fumble for the Bulldogs, who are 2-1 heading into a Saturday game against No. 15 East Tennessee State.

Chris Wilkerson, a member of Buddy Teevens' first staff when he returned to Hanover in 2005, and later the Big Green's associate head coach, is in his ninth season as head coach at the University of Chicago. Wilk's team is averaging 54.3 points per game and allowing 11.7 in a 3-0 start. He's 43-25 in his tenure at Chicago and 32-13 in conference play.

Dartmouth has 6-foot-5, 270-pound German offensive lineman Konstantin Spörk on the team this fall as a freshman. Could a 6-7, 275-pound tackle/defensive end from Denmark be next? American Football International reports the big Dane is sitting on, among others, a Dartmouth offer. (LINK)
