EXTRA POINT
If you have a dog this probably won't surprise you, but it continues to amaze me.

Sunrise here at the Summer Solstice was 5:05 a.m. If I was still in bed back then Griff the Wonder Dog would stand up at my bedside at 5:55 and start whimpering that it was time for our day to start.

Sunrise yesterday was 6:33. You'd think since he waited until well after sunrise in the spring to wake me that he'd do the same thing this time of year. Yeah, sure. Wanna guess what time it was when he was standing there staring me down with those big brown eyes? Yup, it was 5:55. His sense of time is uncanny.
