Princeton 34, Penn 14
Trailing 7-3 after one quarter, the Tigers (9-1, 6-1 Ivy) used a 28-point second period to grab a share of the Ivy League title before a disappointing crowd of 3,975 at Franklin Field. Quarterback Cole Smith was an efficient 20-of-28 for 214 yards while also running for a team-high 69 yards for the Tigers, who got a 34-yard pick six from Matthew Winston and a touchdown pass from receiver Dylan Classi on a double-reverse. Penn QB Aidan Sayin was 19-of-38 for 255 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. The Quakers (3-7, 1-6) outgained Princeton, 374 yards to 345. The championship is Princeton’s fourth in eight years
Harvard 34, Yale 31
Quarterback Luke Emge found Kym Wimberly for 42 yards on the Crimson’s desperate last possession and then capped the six-play, 66-yard drive with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Wimberly with 22 seconds left to give the Crimson (8-2, 5-2 Ivy) a dramatic win over the Bulldogs (5-5, 4-3). The final drive made hero of Emge, who was able to to complete just 14-of-32 passes for 219 yards on day when the Crimson’s vaunted running attack was held to 98 yards. Emge had one TD and one interception. Yale’s Nolan Grooms was 17-of-37 for 262 yards and three touchdowns but suffered three interceptions. Attendance the Yale Bowl was listed at 49,500.
Columbia 34, Cornell 26
Clinging to a 20-19 heading into the fourth quarter, the Lions (7-3, 4-3 Ivy) scored two touchdowns in a span of 2:35 to go up 15 points in a win over the mistake-prone Big Red (2-8, 1-6). Columbia picked off five passes. Columbia, which set a school record with 17 penalties, was outgained on the day, 431 yards to 257, with quarterback Joe Green completing just 9-of-23 attempts for 83 yards with two touchdowns and one pick. Richie Kenney and Jameson Wang were each intercepted twice and Ben Mays once for Cornell. Attendance in the Crescent at Cornell was 2,020.
Maine 33, New Hampshire 20
New Hampshire (3-8, 2-6 CAA) finished its season never winning again after losing to Pitt and Dartmouth in consecutive games. Trailing 20-7 early in the second quarter, Maine (6-5, 4-4) ran off the next 26 points in front of 8,573 at Wildcat Stadium. New Hampshire had two 100-yard rushers but couldn’t overcome four interceptions.
Sacred Heart 38, LIU 14
Malik Grant ran for 127 yards and two touchdowns, Julius Chestnut rushed for 125 and one, and Javin Adderly added 84 yards onthe ground as the Pioneers (8-3, 6-1 NEC) really did run all over LIU (2-8, 2-5). Sacred Heart outscored the home team, 31-0, over the middle two quarters in front of 1,092 in Brookville, N.Y.
Morehead State 51, Valparaiso 38
Three interception returns for touchdowns in the fourth quarter capped a wild game as Morehead State (7-4, 6-2 Pioneer) won at Valparaiso (4-7, 4-4). Robert Washington carried 33 times for 159 yards to pace the Beacons in front of 1,294.
