EXTRA POINT
The windows here in the BGA World Headquarters stretch across the room but are just high enough that while seated at the desk I can't see the mountains in the distance. When I'm at the keyboard for too many hours on end working on a project – as I am these days – my back gets sore. Real sore.

To avoid that I need to get up and stretch periodically, something I don't do often enough even with a Pomodoro app on my Mac that tries to make me. The other option is to raise my convertible desk so I have to stand while working. With my aching back in a heat wrap the other day, I wised up and raised the desk, which had two advantages.

First, my back is feeling better.

And second, I can see things out the window that occur fast and then disappear. For example, as I type this it is a near white-out, with a blinding snow coming down. But here's what I saw for a brief five minutes or so before the snow started that I would have missed if I were sitting and staring at my monitor. Click the photo to enlarge it.
