Offers Adding Up

Add Arkansas State to the list of offers for the services of Dartmouth offensive lineman John Paul Flores. By my count Big Green players are sitting on more than 50 offers right now, and probably more. No telling how many of those offers are full-scholarship, but there's a lot to think about.

To date, the only two we know for certain who have made up their minds are offensive lineman Jake Guidone, who will use his final year of eligibility at UConn, and tight end Robbie Mangas, who is headed to Buffalo. Guidone had no more eligibility at Dartmouth while Mangas had the option of returning for another year.

No one's offer sheet has the range of corner Isaiah Johnson's, which runs from Kentucky Christian to Colorado, Syracuse and Tulane.

And speaking of Johnson, in addition to his highlight video he has posted a practice video:

Seth Tow, the Indiana grad who covered Dartmouth football all fall for the Valley News, is moving on after one season following the Big Green. It's always fun getting to know the writers on the Dartmouth beat and Seth was a sponge soaking up all the background I could share while adding a podcast and a thorough Twitter presence to a beat I covered for the paper for longer than I care to remember ;-)

Former Cornell head coach (and All-Ivy League defensive end for the Big Red) Jim Knowles has been named the 2021 FootballScoop Defensive Coordinator of the Year for his work at Oklahoma State. He has since moved on to the Ohio State University. (LINK)

EXTRA POINT
After a two-week hiatus while the Christmas tree was up and the living room was filled with this and that from the holidays our robotic vacuum cleaner headed back to work this week. Even though we did a pretty thorough job with a broom and dustpan, "Robo" has managed to find pine needles each day this week. I'm guessing they are from under the couch but I can't be sure. What I can be sure of is that I haven't seen any tumbleweeds of golden retriever fur blowing across the floor since our MVP (Mobile, Valuable Picker-upper) went back on the clock. You go, Robo!
