The new Dartmouth beat writer for the local daily popped in Tuesday for a look at Big Green spring football. Find the story HERE.
(One small clarification: John Pupel, the standout nickel on last fall's Ivy League championship team, entered the transfer portal and will graduate this spring.)

Pro Football Network’s Ivy League 2022 NFL Draft Scouting Reports takes a look at Harvard running back Aaron Shampklin, Brown quarterback EJ Perry, Princeton linebacker Jeremiah Tyler, Yale receiver Melvin Rouse, Columbia receiver/returner Mike Roussos and Penn receiver Prince Emili. (LINK)
Green Alert Take: I don’t know about you, but I have to question a Pro Football Network analysis of the Ivy League’s pro prospects that includes former Dartmouth corner Isaiah Johnson and doesn’t include former Big Green safety Niko Mermigas.
Johnson, of course, is committed to Syracuse as a grad transfer. Mermigas, meanwhile, put up eye-catching numbers during his Pro Day including a 4.51 in the 40 and a 38.5 inch vertical.

PFN's "negatives" for the Ivy League NFL hopefuls were a little harsh. It was somewhat kinder in its analysis earlier this month of former Dartmouth receiver Drew Estrada, who played last fall at Baylor. The site wrote (LINK):
“He lacks upside, but Estrada comes with solid pass-catching skills and can make a roster as a fifth receiver if he produces returning punts this summer.”

MaxPreps has a story about the top high school feeder programs to the NFL draft and Fort Lauderdale's St. Thomas Aquinas is the runaway leader over the past 10 year with a whopping 18 selections including the Bosa brothers and Asante Samuel. (LINK)
Dartmouth receiver Jamal Cooney and graduating linebacker Jalen Mackie are both products of the school. Corner Vernon Harris '16, who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs after graduation, and quarterback Jake Allen '22, whose career was cut short by injury, also played at the Florida powerhouse. Going back a little further, Dan Shula '06, son of wide receivers coach David Shula, was a quarterback for the Raiders.

EXTRA POINT
Those of you who are regular visitors to this electronic precinct and stick around to read the PATs may have read here before about Mrs. BGA's aversion to bad grammar by TV sportscasters and commentators.
She'd like nothing more than to have one of those electric dog collars to zap talking heads on the screen each time they butcher the language. I thought about that this morning when, in my never-ending daily quest to find material to keep you informed and entertained, I stumbled across a video clip in the wasteland known as Twitter.
Find the clip HERE or just read what Shaquille O'Neal said to Charles Barkley in 2017 below:
"I would have did the same thing. I would have came right back at you. . . . I would have came up here and punched you in your face. That's what I would have did."
I think Mrs. BGA's zapping finger will be quivering if she watches that clip.
If you click through, be sure to stick around for Barkley's comeback and the hairy eyeball it brings from Shaq.
