Of note in the release:
"All tickets will be provided digitally with entry completely contactless."
Green Alert Take: Grrr! The world continues to conspire again those of us who choose not to own a cell phone.
Green Alert Take II: In an old cigar box here in the BGA World Headquarters I have a box of old ticket stubs from Yankee and other big league games, Penn State football games, the Lake Placid Winter Olympics and even concerts I went to back in college. Every time I sort through the tickets I smile at the memories they bring back (and shake my head at the $4 box seats at Yankee Stadium). I suppose a digital ticket might one day be preserved as a non-fungible token or some such thing, but the days of THIS could be winding down.

A Dartmouth release on NFL quarterback Russell Wilson serving as graduation speaker next month includes this (LINK):
Fans of Dartmouth and football know that Wilson has deep roots on the Hanover Plain: His father, the late Harrison Wilson III ’77—a Big Green receiver who also played shortstop and third base on the baseball team—and three uncles attended Dartmouth. Benjamin Wilson ’73, a former Dartmouth trustee, was the first of the four Wilson brothers to matriculate, followed by Harrison, John Wilson ’80, and Richard Wilson ’85, who died in 2005.
And . . .
Dartmouth has always held a very special place for me and my family,” said Wilson. “My dad, a Dartmouth alum, was my biggest champion and instilled in me the importance of education and having a ‘Why Not You?’ attitude from an early age—two principles that have guided much of my life. I can’t wait to be there to share some of those lessons with the class of 2022 and celebrate their many accomplishments.”
By the way, if you watch closely Dartmouth's Twitter announcement of its graduation speaker (LINK) you'll notice the football Russell throws to Phil Hanlon magically transforms from a plain NFL ball to a striped NIKE ball on its way here from Denver. ;-)

The Analyst's Craig Haley has a "quick minute" video suggesting "the 2022 season is ripe for a bunch of new conference champs." (LINK)
Who doe the site's FCS editor see as being a possible "new" champ in the Ivy League? That would be . . . "old" champ Harvard.

Former Brown quarterback EJ Perry has backed out of an agreement to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles and will instead sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars. As it turns out, it was the decision by another undrafted free agent that forced Perry's hand:
The #Eagles were waiting to hear back from Carson Strong on Saturday and didn’t think they’d land him, so they agreed to terms with EJ Perry. Strong then accepted their offer. So Perry now heads to the #Jaguars. https://t.co/jcc14kuHwv

Given the havoc the transfer portal is causing some FBS programs, coaches at the top level of Division I football are pushing a "proposal would scrap the current cap that limits schools to signing 25 players per year." (LINK)
The cap on total scholarships would remain 85 but increasing an incoming class above 25 would enable a program hit hard by portal defections to replenish its roster quickly.
Green Alert Take: How this might affect FCS programs is for people smarter than I am to decide but I'd venture to say it probably wouldn't help.

Uh . . .
Justice is not particularly blind. For example, when the Louisiana State University football team loses in an upset, it causes judges in Louisiana to add 1,296 days of punishment to juvenile defendants, including 136 extra days of jail time, just because judges are in a bad mood. pic.twitter.com/Al6nGA0XH2

EXTRA POINT
Mrs. BGA was bringing That Certain Dartmouth '14's bicycle to a mobile bike mechanic today for a tuneup in anticipation of shipping it out to her in Colorado. The bike has been hanging from hooks in the garage rafters and when I pulled it down I found both tires completed deflated, not surprising since it hasn't been ridden since we moved here three years ago.
With no air in the tires I dug out our electric pump, plugged it in and groaned. The bike does not have traditional Schrader valves but instead it has those skinny (and annoying) Presta valves that require an adapter for most pumps. The last time I filled the tires on the bike I made a point of buying not one, but two of the adapters so I could be sure to have them handy the next time the tires needed air.
Suffice it to say, the tires weren't the only thing that was deflated when, you guessed it, I couldn't find the adapters.
