Craig Haley as been understandably bullish on Dartmouth football the past several years. Now? In his FCS Football Preview and Predictions: Week 6 Games of the Week on The Analyst site he offers this take on Dartmouth-Yale (LINK):
Dartmouth has dropped back-to-back overtime games and faces a must-win to remain a realistic contender for a third straight Ivy title (the Big Green haven’t lost three straight games since 2011). Yale will don throwback uniforms to commemorate its 150 years of football, and the team-high carries and rushing totals of Bulldogs QB Nolan Grooms and Dartmouth counterpart Nick Howard feel like yesteryear.
The Pick: Yale

This is kind of fun. Former Dartmouth linebacker Flo Orimolade '17 of the Calgary Stampeders offers a pushup lesson at a Canadian gym:

Yesterday's posting on the passing of longtime Dartmouth football equipment manager Steve Ward brought a number of emails from readers saddened by the loss but warmed by their memories of the man. One in particular offers a thought that rang true with me. The emailer wrote:
He was so giving and welcoming but quick to bust your chops (his brand of love!).
Yup, he could bust your chops with the best. And when he did you'd hear that wonderful laugh that was a reminder he was having fun.

EXTRA POINT
With nighttime temperatures dipping into the upper 20s a few times already, we've had wasps that built a nest somewhere in the eves of our house taking refuge from the cold in our bedroom. The house is relatively new and very well-built so I couldn't figure out how the wasps (and a bunch of ladybugs) had made their way inside until I noticed the upper sash on one of our bedroom windows was down an inch or two. It had been hidden by wooden blinds pulled up to the top of the window. Now I'm paying the price for that oversight by trying to corral the invaders and my tool of choice is a powerful handheld vacuum. On three occasions yesterday I used the thing to suck up the insects. Each time I'd collect three or four wasps and perhaps eight to 10 ladybugs and set them free on the far side of the house.
I'll be back at it this morning. I think I've gotten all of the wasps out but there are still some pesky ladybugs chilling (make that warming up) on the ceiling. They are harmless but they need to be shown the door.
