Greetings from State College, Pa., on this day the third-largest city in the Quaker state. (The population when a certain football team is not home is a much more modest 39,525.) We are walking into town shortly to mingle with the crowds and explore the souvenir shops before heading to the tailgating fields by noon for a 4 p.m. kickoff. The sky is clear blue, the temperature this afternoon should be in the low 50s and all is right with the world – depending on what happens in Beaver Stadium ;-)
