Things seem to have quieted down on the transfer portal beat. The GoPokes 247Sports article, Oklahoma State Football Transfer Offer Tracker: Updates on targets after 2022 season includes this about the most coveted of Dartmouth players in the portal (LINK):
Shane Cokes is versatile prospect that can play multiple positions across the line, making him an intriguing target for the Cowboys.
Also getting a mention is Yale offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo.
Of course, you have to be careful with some 247Sports information. Here, for example, is the 247Sports page on Cokes (LINK):
Green Alert Take: If that's a little hard to read, trust me, Shane did not enroll at Dartmouth on Nov. 21, 2022, and he most certainly did not enroll that same day at Dayton. ;-)

Dartmouth nickel Seth Verilus, who is sitting on offers from Robert Morris, McNeese State and Central Connecticut has Tweeted that he is heading to western Pennsylvania this weekend to take a look at the first of those three schools.

That's it for the old. Regarding the new, honors are starting to come in for the players heading to Dartmouth in the fall.
• Keoni Perkins, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound defensive end from South Grand Prairie HS/Grand Prairie, Texas, was a unanimous choice for the all-district defensive line. Also selected academic all-state, he comes from the same high school that sent 2016 tri-captain Brandon Cooper to Dartmouth. Cooper also played D-end.
• Chris Roper, a 5-11, 190 running back from Adairsville HS/Cartersville, Ga. was chosen the Region 6-3A Player of the Year and all-State 3A.
• Owen Zalc, a 5-10, 155 kicking specialist from Green Hope HS/Cary, N.C., wrapped up his career as a four-time Southwest Wake Athletic all-conference pick, a three-time conference special teams player of the year, a three-time all-region pick and an all-state selection.
• Harrison Keith, a 6-1, 195 safety from Choate/Fairfield, Conn., has been selected NEPSAC (New England Preparatory School Athletic Council) Class A player of the year.
• Taysire Williams, a 6-6, 230 tight end from Jimtown HS/Elkhart, Ind., has been chosen to the 3A Indiana Football Coaches Association all-state team.
As always, if you have updated information on others in the recruiting class, be sure to send it along via the "Contact Form" over there on the right.

EXTRA POINT
It's not at all unusual for me to be sitting here wondering why I keep BGA Daily going every day. It's certainly not about money because, well, an eight-hour shift at Burger King would bring in more than this site does in a year.

This morning I found myself thankful I've kept at it. See, I have a large, three-month "dry erase" calendars on my wall that I use to keep track of practices, upcoming games, interviews and deadlines. With the season over I wanted to clean all that off the calendar and put some other deadlines on it, but the thing is old and cheap and markings don't come off easily anymore. I knew there was a hack that worked but I couldn't remember what it was.
Aha, I thought. I mentioned that in one of these Extra Points. So I put the words "dry erase" into a search and voila, I found the answer HERE. The solution: Toothpaste on a paper towel! Thanks BGA Daily.
