Victor Williams '16, the wide receiver who caught 135 passes for 1,632 yards in his Dartmouth career and earned a spot on the All-Ivy League second team as a 5-foot-9, 165-pound senior, saw his pro boxing career get off to a strong start with four knockouts in four fights. But the Washington, D.C.-based Williams, whose nickname in the ring is "Vicious," will be sidelined for the next year after rupturing his Achilles sparring in anticipation of his welterweight fight on Feb. 18.

His hometown paper back in Muskogee, Okla., has a story HERE.

HERO Sports posted these numbers in a Tweet about FCS defensive leaders in 2022:

T-1. Princeton -- 13.5 PPG
T-1. Jackson State -- 13.5
3. South Dakota State -- 15.8
4. Delaware -- 18.2
5. Yale -- 19.5

That got me wondering how things went in conference action.

Although it hasn't been even two full months since the end of the 2022 season I needed a reminder about how scoring (and defense) went in Ivy League play this fall so I dug up these numbers:

EXTRA POINT
There is something that's bugging me and I have to get it off my shoulders.

Not long after I sat down at the computer this morning Mrs. BGA turned the downstairs TV on to check out the overnight headlines. Hearing the TV come on, Griff the Wonder Dog came out from under my desk, headed to the first floor and joined Mrs. BGA in the living room.

Look, I'm thrilled the newly retired Mrs. BGA can catch up on the news in the morning. But I have to admit I'm not really thrilled that Griff walked out on me.

Don't tell Mrs. BGA but I may lay in a few dog biscuits tomorrow morning.
