Well-Deserved

Freshman placekicker Owen Zalc has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the third time this fall after making field goals of 47, 37 and 35 yards in Saturday's game at Harvard. From a Dartmouth release (LINK):

Zalc is third among FCS kickers with 1.71 field goals per game this season … other Big Green players to receive the Rookie of the Week at least three times were Craig Morton '89 four times in 1986 and Shawn Abuhoff '12 three in 2008 … the last Dartmouth kicker with two games with three field goals was Tyler Lavin '05 in 2003.

Morton was a wide receiver and Abuhoff a defensive back.

Named to the Ivy League honor roll were linebacker Marques White, who had three sacks in his first game back from a preseason injury, and sophomore safety Sean Williams, who had two interceptions. Find the Ivy League release HERE.
