Green Alert Take: Misery loves company. While I went 4-1 in my Fearful Forecast picks last week, my winning percentage this fall is .551. Jake is doing slightly better at .571. Most years I've been in the .700-.725 range. It's been a tricky one all the way around.

So you think the Ivy League championship race is chaos? In the CAA there are five – count 'em, f-i-v-e – teams tied for first place. All even with 5-1 records are Albany, Villanova, Richmond, Delaware and Elon. (LINK)

I was listening to a Fresh Air podcast while I was hiking the other day and up came critic John Powers with an absolutely glowing look at a new limited-run series from Australia called Colin From Accounts . Powers said the series "touches all the bases of the traditional romantic comedy, yet it never feels musty. Brimming with life and honesty, it's also exceedingly funny."
It sounds absolutely delightful and I'll never see a minute of it.
That's because it's streaming on Paramount+ and Paramount+, like Disney+, ESPN+, Discovery+, Apple TV+, NESN+ and all of the others can be death to a budget by a thousand cuts – but not to mine.
