Green Alert Take: Are you as surprised as I was to learn that Dartmouth alum Reggie Williams never made the Pro Bowl in his 13 years playing linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals? That despite three season with more than 100 tackles (120 in 1977, 109 in 1976 and 109 in 1981).

Ditto for Yale product Foye Oluokun, who led the NFL in total tackles in 2021 (192) and 2022 (184) and in solo tackles in 2022 (128) and 2023 (111) playing for the Falcons and Jaguars. Oluokun was a Pro Bowl alternate this year.

EXTRA POINT
When we bought our last TV five years ago we chose a "Smart" set. To be perfectly honest, I wasn't quite sure at the time what that meant and didn't see any sets called "Dumb," but figured it was the way to go.

It turns out that the set has allowed us to access not just paid ESPN+ and Prime networks, but free streaming services (read: TV stations) like Tubi and Pluto. And while there isn't much new content on those free stations they have been a gold mine of TV memories.

In the past few weeks Mrs. BGA and I have watched the first episodes of Leave It to Beaver, The Odd Couple, Bewitched, Gilligan's Island, Green Acres, Petticoat Junction and Partridge Family to name just a few. Classic TV? Hardly. But it's been a lot of fun.

Now that I think about it, I'm going to see if I can pull up the first episode of The Monkees and The Beverly Hillbillies and My Favorite Martian. Stay, uh, tuned. ;-)
