Full statistics are not available for last night's East-West Shrine Bowl game but former Dartmouth corner Isaiah Johnson '22 and the East team lost to the West, 26-11. Johnson played the last two seasons at Syracuse, which yesterday put up a short mention of his all-star appearance HERE.

Out of curiosity, I went to the Dartmouth athletics directory to see if Athletics Communication Director Rick Bender and Athletics Communications Assistant Cindi Mansell were still listed. Their names are now gone from a department that goes by the grandiose name, Strategic Content And Brand Management.
Green Alert Take: I really do miss the days of "Sports Information." Sure, when I worked there we were occasionally asked how to find the physical education office, but in the main I think it was pretty clear what we were all about. Now I'm not sure.
Green Alert Take II: To my amusement, something I discovered in visiting the staff directory was that there are 15 people who are some variation of "associate athletic director" and 13 who are some variation of "assistant athletic director." For the record, each of those titles has one fewer name on it than it did earlier this week.

EXTRA POINT
Mrs. BGA and I brought Griff the Wonder Dog on our hike up the mountain yesterday. He can't always come because if the temperature is too warm the snow clumps on his feet and he continuously stops to sit and chew it off. As shared in this space before, he does have booties for the snow but they won't stay on unless we make them so tight we're afraid it might cut off circulation to his feet.

Ah, but yesterday the temperature and the snow were perfect and Griff had a blast on the mountain. He particularly enjoys laying on his side and pushing himself along the snow. Yesterday he got a little help when he flopped onto his side at the top of a particularly steep section of trail and slid down without any effort at all.
When we got back from our hike I found an email in my box that read in part, "we’re launching our most colorful feature yet: image generation. So whether you want to mock up a futuristic car or just need an image of a Yeti wearing sunglasses—if you can think it, Bard can create it. Have fun exploring!"
I decided to ask Bard to "mock up" a golden retriever like Griff with snowshoes. Here's what the AI app generated:
If only it were that simple in real life Griff could hike every day in the winter!
