EXTRA POINT
In the days leading up to our cross country train adventure I bought a new power bank to charge the "iPod" (actually a hand-me-down iPhone without a SIM card) I would be using to take photos and videos on our trip as well as my Kindle. It's a neat battery with built-in cables for iPhone, USB, USB-C and micro USB.

But here's the thing. The battery pack took forever to charge. I mean, we're talking overnight.

With a little help from ChatGPT I discovered the PD on the battery pack means it features "USB Power Delivery," which allows it to charge devices three times faster than older chargers. Turns out, it also charges itself ridiculously faster since I bought an inexpensive wall nugget that supports PD charging.

Yeah, I know. That's old news for a lot of you but I'm going to guess a few of you are going to be grabbing your phones and wall nuggets and checking to see if they are PD, right?
