A New Home

Former Dartmouth wide receiver/baseball player Ivan Hoyt will resume his athletic career at Davidson. Hoyt was pressed into service as a kicker on the football team as a freshman in 2022, and had 14 starts on the diamond as a freshman that spring. He announced his new home on Xwitter last month:

Speaking of transfers, Leonard St. Gourdin gets a nice mention in a piece headlined, UMass College Football Preview, Best Players, Top Transfers, Season Prediction, Win Total 2024. Surprisingly – to me at least – former Dartmouth teammate Macklin Ayers is overlooked in the capsule. St. Gourdin will play in the defensive backfield and Ayers at linebacker under head coach Donnie Brown, the two-time Dartmouth assistant. (LINK

EXTRA POINT
Mrs. BGA, Griff the Wonder Dog and I head off shortly for a few days at beautiful Maidstone State Park in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. We lucked into a water's edge campsite at the park, about a half hour south of the border to Quebec. Because the park is so remote there's no cell service or internet, so BGA will go dark until Thursday morning.
