A 6-foot, 185-190ish pound rising senior quarterback from Summerville, S.C., Jaden Cummings reports offers from 15 schools including Ivies and several of the FBS variety: Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Old Dominion, Central Michigan, Troy, Arkansas State, Bryant, Mercer, Citadel, Wofford, Akron, Charleston Southern, Jacksonville State and Georgia Southern.
Cummings guided his team to a 13-1 record a year ago, throwing for 3,379 yards with 36 passing touchdowns, four interceptions and a 68.9 percent completion rate. He also ran for four touchdowns.
Barring position changes the addition of Cummings means Dartmouth will have a well-stocked quarterback room a year from now. Current sophomores Woods Ray and Grayson Saunier will be juniors in 2025. Incoming freshmen Noah Trigeuros and Kyle Meier will be sophomores, and Cummings will be a freshman.
Cummings was a South Carolina AAAAA all-state selection last fall after transferring from Hanahan High School. His junior highlights:
The Toronto Argonauts could be without a star on each side of the ball for the foreseeable future, as defensive end Folarin Orimolade and receiver DaVaris Daniels have both been placed on the six-game injured list ahead of Saturday’s matchup with Edmonton.Orimolade (ankle) made three tackles and one sack against B.C. from his spot at defensive end. The five-foot-eleven, 238-pound native of Washington, D.C. made 36 tackles, 10 sacks, and two forced fumbles over 17 games last season and was named an East Division all-star for the first time in his career. He is the highest-paid defensive lineman in the CFL.

Speaking of former Dartmouth standouts in the play-for-pay game, thank Orimolade's former teammate Matt Kaskey '19, an offensive tackle with the UFL's Birmingham Stallions for the Big Green's prominent place in this graphic:
EXTRA POINT
I suspect that with a couple of rainy days behind us and the sun finally shining again our lawn and field are on the verge of a growth spurt. I'm still waiting on a call from the power equipment company with news that repairs are finished on our lawn tractor and if it doesn't come soon I'll be gassing up the walk-behind and getting my steps in. A lot of them. ;-)
