Central New Jersey's Courier-News has a lengthy story about former Dartmouth strength and conditioning coach Jay Butler, known in these parts as The Big Bopper.
The 6-foot-7 Butler, who played at 300 pounds as a lineman at Bucknell and for a year with the New York Giants, was on the Big Green staff from 1996-2000 before joining former college teammate Greg Schiano at Rutgers.
Butler followed Schiano to the Tampa Bay Bucs and the pair reunited in 2020 when Schiano returned to the Banks of the Raritan.
The Butler story begins with a funny look at how he met his wife. Check out the story HERE.

Per Butler's RU bio he's had more than 100 players sign pro contracts. The screen grab below is from his Rutgers bio, which can be found HERE.
Still more Silly Season Stuff. Today HERO Sports takes a look at what the writer considers The Best Returning 2024 FCS Cornerback In Each Conference. While he doesn't get the Ivy League nod, one Dartmouth corner gets a mention (emphasis below is mine) along with yet another Fordham standout the Big Green will see this fall. From the story (LINK):

He has caught the eye of scouts, but before he thinks about that, he has the chance to help the Bears have their best season in several years. Dartmouth’s Jordan Washington is also expected to be strong.PATRIOTNahil Perkins, Fordham, Grad.2023 STAT LINE: 62 tackles, 17 passes defended, 3 INTsPerkins will be a team captain this fall and is coming off of a First Team All-Patriot League season for the Rams.
