Don't Worry, Be Happy

Concerned that Dartmouth was picked fourth in the Ivy League's preseason media poll? Don't be.

Chosen fifth last year, the Big Green proved the media pundits way off base by earning a share of the Ivy League title. Here's last year's poll courtesy of former SID Rick Bender's notes:

2023 POLL

And here are the 2023 final standings as they appeared on this site:

Read Dartmouth's release on the poll HERE.

Thanks to Bender's research we know Dartmouth has surpassed its media poll prediction 12 times in the past 14 years. So, Don't Worry, Be Happy.

EXTRA POINT
As I do periodically, I switched from sitting to standing-desk-mode yesterday and needed to give my laptop a little boost. Looking around for two of the thicker volumes on the shelves here in the BGA home office, I grabbed a couple of books that I knew I wouldn't need. The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language and The Knowledge Book by National Geographic have gone the way of the eight-track.

I can hear some of you now. The way of the what? (Look it up in the dictionary online kids – or click the photo below.)
