I took this shot after Dartmouth held its final scrimmage of camp on Tuesday afternoon, two days earlier than the final scrimmage has been held in the past. Check BGA Overtime this evening for key statistics, analysis and comments from coach Sammy McCorkle about the non-tackling but entertaining affair.
A reminder that BGA Overtime will follow the Big Green with previews, game coverage and a follow/analysis all season long. And remember, there's no paywall this year. The site is open to everyone.

Former Big Green linebacker Justin Edwards '18, who went from Dartmouth to Savannah College of Art and Design, honored his former head football coach with this painting:
When I heard of Coach T's passing, I wanted to create something to honor him and his impact he made on everyone around him. This past weekend, people from everywhere came to celebrate his life. It was good to reconnect with some of the players and coaches who also made an impact on my life as well. I never would have thought I could give back in this way, let alone be an artist, but I’m glad I could. And a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. Dino, Coach Brooks, and my teammates (you know who you are) kept this a well-kept secret.
Edwards is offering prints of the painting HERE.

EXTRA POINT
Coming up from the Ledyard Bridge I usually try to avoid downtown Hanover traffic by making the first right turn off West Wheelock Street and driving through the neighborhood. Yesterday I continued on Wheelock right through the light at Main Street and past Alumni Gym and I was amazed. Virtually the entire right side of the road from the Hopkins Center to the light at South Park Street was behind a wall of green polyethylene construction screens. Add in the same thing on the north side of West Wheelock where the new dorm is going in, continuing work around the Green and the massive Leverone project and the college looks like one humongous construction zone. This shot was taken yesterday between the back of Alumni Gym and Floren Varsity House. The small print in the photo tells the story behind the construction:

Building conversions like this one are necessary as we develop our geo-exchange system. One common change is replacing radiators to use hot water as a heat source instead of steam. This will improve efficiency, reduce energy waste and get us closer to our goal of zero carbon.
