Elsewhere in the Ivy League  . . .

Columbia 34, Princeton 17
Joey Giorgi ran for 157 yards and Chase Goodwin returned to action after missing last week's game with Georgetown to complete 19-of-30 throws for 210 yards and a touchdown to lead Columbia (2-1 overall, 1-0 Ivy League). Hayden McDonald had two interceptions and seven tackles for the Lions. Princeton, which took a 10-6 lead into the break only to be outscored in the second half, 28-7, fell to 1-2, 0-1 before 4,111 in New York City.

Yale 23, Central Connecticut 22
Dartmouth grad transfer Isaac Boston gave the Blue Devils a 22-17 lead on a touchdown catch early in the fourth quarter but Yale pulled the game out on a 19-yard pass from Grant Jordan to Luke Foster with 8:15 remaining. Although outgained 458 yards to 339, Yale improved to 2-1, 0-1. Central Connecticut fell to 2-3 before 5,123 at Yale Bowl. Boston finished with three catches for 43 yards.

Bryant 42, Brown 35
In a characteristic Brown offensive-fest, the game was tied at 35 before Bryant drove 63 yards for the winning 30-yard touchdown pass on a fourth-down play with 1:45 remaining. Jake Willcox was 21-for-38 for 294 yards and one touchdown for the Bears, who saw the potential winning drive end on a sack at the Bryant 25 with 10 seconds remaining. The game drew 3,735 to Providence. Brown is now 2-1 1-0 while Bryant is 2-3.

Albany 31, Cornell 10
The Big Red was within 16-10 until the Great Danes drove 77 yards for a touchdown with 3:08 remaining. An 84-yard touchdown run by Albany's Faysal Aden put the exclamation point on their win. Cornell fell to 1-2, 1-0 before 4,827 in Ithaca. Albany, 2-3, got two catches for 27 yards from Dartmouth grad transfer Jamal Cooney, who also had a 35-yard kickoff return.

From Friday night . . .

Harvard 28, New Hampshire 23
Jaden Craig completed just 10-of-23 passes for the Crimson (albeit for 204 yards)
and while star tailback Shane McLaughlin did not play, Harvard still outgained the Wildcats on the ground, 144 yards to 46s. Harvard is now 2-1 overall (0-1 Ivy League) while UNH, which had won its last three, fell to 3-2 in the first game between the schools since 1939.

And finally . . .

Lafayette 28, Fordham 23
The Rams continued winless (0-6) after Lafayette(3-2)  tossed three touchdown passes and got 111 yards rushing from Jamar Curtis. Julius Loughridge ran for 79 yards and two touchdowns for Fordham.

EXTRA POINT
I went scrambling for my camera on Friday night after spotting a beautiful sunset/moon rise. Unfortunately, I discovered the battery hadn't been charged so I yelled for Mrs. BGA to grab her phone and try to get a shot. This is what we saw:
