Confirmed last night, and got the OK to report that Spencer Brown, director of strength, speed and conditioning at Dartmouth, has accepted a position at Rutgers, where he will work under Jay Butler, himself a former strength coach for the Big Green.
Green Alert Take: That's a big loss for Dartmouth. Spencer Brown was as dedicated to developing quality human beings as he was to developing their strength and speed. Those who will miss him – and there will be many – will be glad to know the job description for his successor (LINK) makes it clear the college is looking for someone who embodies a lot of the same qualities that allowed Brown to have such a huge impact in his decade at Dartmouth.

The Buddy Way debuts nationally tonight. The Omaha Productions film on the life of former Dartmouth coach Buddy Teevens will premiere on ESPN2 at 5 p.m., and will be available for streaming after that airing on ESPN+.
Green Alert Take: Mrs. BGA and I were privileged to be invited to the local premiere of the film last night and what I heard from those who saw the world premiere last week in New York City held true. It is a moving paean to a man who meant so much to so many, and to the game of football. If you knew Buddy, and maybe even if you only knew of him, be sure to tune in. And have a tissue handy.

Defensive lineman Ejeke Adele, one of the players Teevens recruited with his mantra of being "a great football player when it's football time, a great student when it's academics time, and a great person all of the time," has been selected to the All-Academic All-America first team. He's the first Dartmouth player to be so-honored since Dominic Lanza in 1997. Find a story HERE.

EXTRA POINT
What makes for a "friendliest small town" is open for debate. And to be honest, this recent posting doesn't offer much in the way of an explanation for the headline or the title. That said, Worldatlas.com does an OK job of describing the hometown of Dartmouth College HERE.
