Last week HERO Sports took a look last week at how 2024 FCS transfers fared in FBS play last fall. Here's what it showed about how Ivy Leaguers performed. (LINK)
A couple of things to keep in mind. First, HERO did not take into account injuries that limited some players. Former Dartmouth tight end Jace Henry, for example, was off to a terrific start at Nevada but was injured and played in only four games so his production was not reflected in the numbers. Likewise, former Big Green offensive lineman Ethan Sipe was lost for the season in Virginia's opener. I have no idea which other player were limited by injury, so keep that in mind when you read these numbers.
And second, HERO missed some players, like former Dartmouth defensive lineman Hank Knez, who saw time in five games for Northwestern, but was left out of this listing. There are surely more Ivy transfer who were overlooked.
Actually, one more thing. This workup does not include former Ivies in their second year as transfers, like defensive lineman Shane Cokes, who had 17.5 tackles (2.5 for a loss with one sack), one quarterback hurry and one forced fumble at Colorado last fall.
All that said, here's what HERO dug up for Ivy Leaguer's who moved up last year:

EXTRA POINT
Long before the holidays we ordered new bulb seal weatherstripping for our windows. After it finally arrived I installed it in our living room, and was quite pleased with how it performed. Like many of you we are headed for the deep freeze this week, with the temperature likely to get to double figures below zero Tuesday night. I'm thinking the time has probably come to install the rest of the weatherstripping we paid good money for, right? ;-)
