Support An Old Friend

Joey McIntyre, a huge asset to the Dartmouth football program (and to BGA!) during his seven years as Director of Recruiting, Operations & External Relations under Buddy Teevens is running the Boston Marathon Monday as a fundraiser for the Boston Children's Hospital. On his donation page (LINK) Joey explains his motivation:
Since my daughter was just 6 days old, Boston Children's Hospital has been an essential part of her life. She has been seen over 150 times by their world-class teams across Neurology, Neu
ro-Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology, and more. She has undergone multiple eye surgeries, spinal taps, MRIs, and countless other procedures with courage and resilience.

The care she has received at Boston Children’s is nothing short of extraordinary. That’s why I’m running the 2025 Boston Marathon as part of the Miles for Miracles team—to give back to this incredible institution and to ensure that other families continue to have access to the same compassionate, cutting-edge care that has meant so much to us.

Today, Joey is the Assistant Athletics Director for Leadership & Annual Giving at Boston College. Listen to his story below and please think about helping out an old friend to many around Dartmouth and the Upper Valley.

A reminder that I will be at Dartmouth football practice shortly and will have a story up tonight on BGA Overtime. As has been the case since last spring, the story will be available to all without a paywall. Please spread the word. ;-)

EXTRA POINT

Most of the snow on my trail has melted and here's what showed up yesterday on the trailhead:

What may look like just dandelions to you looks like spring to me here in the north country. ;-)
